Directory Services Integration

The Directory Services Integration module for Resource Scheduler expands the
security of Resource Scheduler by enabling the integration of LDAP, NTLM, and
Active Directory authentication methods in Resource Scheduler for a more secure
user experience.
With the Directory Services Integration module enabled and configured, administrators
don't need to create individual user accounts. These accounts will be created
automatically the first time a user is logged in. Local user information is
also updated automatically on subsequent logins, with accounts being deactivated
in conjunction with the external authentication source.
Furthermore, the Directory Services Integration offers:
- Seamless user integration and account management
- Reduced overall resource maintenance by using a user's existing network
security and login
- Simplified Resource Scheduler set-up and maintenance
With Directory Services Integration, there are no new files or updates to install,
just a license key that activates this module within Resource Scheduler. This
license key makes certain fields visible in the Resource Scheduler administration
screen that are then used to configure Resource Scheduler to work with LDAP
or NTLM.
Resource Scheduler Administrators then have the ability to customize mapping
between RS validation and informational fields and the customer's LDAP scheme.
